Welcome to one of UK most prolific photographer: Stuart Gould

Luckily for us, he was present during the fire base attack and the pilot rescue mission in the arena. Check out his website for more photos of Beltring 07

The fire base simulated attack started with sniper fire from the VC  blowing our "gunney" coke can right of, counter sniping fire was laid down quickly but this incident soon developed into a major VC  attack on our fire base. The public only a few feet away  was getting the full effect , with quad 50, 50's, M60, M16 and AK's firing all at ones, satchel charges and mortar round falling on the perimeter, this was well received by the public who kind of  experienced a fire base under attack.

Once Finished we did a firepower demonstration showing  this time the enemy weapons.

Our Arena display  scenario was the rescue of a couple of  downed helicopter pilots which were chased by a few  VC. Luckily for them a small LRRP's team was in that area. They soon came to the rescue but found themselves  pin down by a superior VC force. Not all was lost, as a couple of Gun trucks  were diverted to land a hand to the pilots and the LRRP's. In the end we had to call the "fast movers", a couple of airplanes unloading Napalm on the VC position. this superior US firepower won the day!
