VEHICLE DETAILS
DODGE M37 3/4 TON TRUCK with winch, 1952
MILITARY VEHICLE HISTORY
IF KNOWN
We found both the original OG green (U.S.Army) and Dark Blue
(U.S.Air Force) Paint on this truck when we brought it back in August
2006.The truck had been configured for use in Germany at some time in its
life, but this vehicle ended its military life in England in the early
1980’s when it was sold as surplus from the U.S Air Force .Since acquiring
the truck from its previous owner we commenced a frame up restoration which
took four years to complete. The vehicle has been restored to original
condition as when it rolled of the factory floor in 1952. We chose to finish
the truck as a United States Marine Corps variation, which included adding a
full deep water fording kit and the distinctive rear light/shackle mounts on
the rear. The Vehicle is marked as a USMC vehicle from the 1st Marine
Division in the early to mid 1960’s.
PRESENT UNITS MARKINGS
IF ANY
USMC Yellow markings and 1st Marine Division blue diamond
markers on both doors and front bumper and tailgate.
